Services Help

Services is a program that handles management of Channels, Nicknames, Memos and other essential "services" on an IRC network. Without a services package an IRC network is a mess of channels and nicknames with no ownership rights and makes chatting a difficult exercise.

Nowdays with the help of services, everyone can own their own nickname or channel and other things such as sending memos to each other when offline is made simple. Here on AustChat we use "Anope" services which is a very common and well supported services package

Of course there are other services available, but these are meant for staff or for more advance users and as such we will not go into them here.

You can of course obtain help on a particular command just by typing /ChanServ HELP for instance for help on ChanServ, same goes for the other services as well.
